We bought this book for book club for our first grader. The kids really liked it and it opened up a great discussion about seeing things differently than others and how perspective and imagination work.
It was an easy to read story for yr old. Also it was beautifully illustrated, they kids are still raving about the drawings in the squiggle/5(31). The Squiggle was a great story about a young girl and her inagination.
The book is a rather square layout but on some pages the illustrator spreads the picture arcross both the pages and on others only uses the one side.
This gives the book a great balance and the illustrator does a great job matching the text with the appropriate style of picture/5. A Squiggly Story is a charming little book that may help first-time storytellers keep trying to write stories, even if they lack the ability to draw proper letterforms, let alone put a complete sentence together.―New York Times/5(68).
